Puukaki Marae is situated in Maangere off Massey Road, near the crater-edge named Te Puukaki Tapu o Poutukeka. The principal hapuu is Te Aakitai-Waiohua, which affiliates with the Waikato confederation, and trace descent from the Tainui waka.

In 2004, The Maaori Queen Te Arikinui Te Aatairangikaahu opened Puukaki Marae.

KIIHINI

Our kitchen is well-equipped to enable the preparation of kai for both intimate and large gatherings. Caterer options are available to you please enquire when making a booking. The dining room provides seating for up to 60 people.

MEETING SPACE

Hui are usually held in the middle room, which is equipped with an HDMI screen with Wi-Fi capability, as well as a whiteboard with pens and an eraser to support planning and shared mahi.

WAAHI MOE

Puukaki Marae provides sleeping space for up to 40 people. Pillows, mattresses, and linen are supplied to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay for all manuhiri.

WHARE ITI

Each bathroom provides toilets and showers, with accessible amenities to ensure comfort and ease of use for all, including those with disability needs.
